New Jeep Cherokee No Remedy Recall

Chrysler released a new NO REMEDY recall for 2017-2019 Jeep cherokees.

As a result of a poorly seated input shaft ring, the vehicles' "power transfer unit (PTU) may become damaged and disengage the transmission and differential, resulting in a loss of drive power and/or loss of park function," the recall documents state. "A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash. A loss of park function can cause an unintended vehicle rollaway, which can increase the risk of a crash or injury."

The recall affects certain 2017-2019 Jeep Cherokee vehicles. Chrysler has not yet specified how it will fix the problem but said notification letters will be mailed to owners on Feb. 13. Drivers can contact Chrysler FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403 for more information; FCA's number for the recall is 01C.

CDJR Recall 75B Fix Released?

I've heard that a remedy has been released as of today for recall 75B released for all 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2019 Dodge Ram's, but can't find anything online. Does anyone have confirmation of this fix being available in Canada?

I have had several of these performed in the U.S. since it had been released a couple weeks ago.

2A Vehicle

Hello,

When does DOT consider a vehicle original U.S. and can cross under box 2A? This vehicle was original U.S. exported to Canada in 2010.. is it now Canadian or original U.S. ? It has the U.S. emissions and EPA labels.

Thank you!

Does the unit also have a U.S. Manufacturer Label(No Mapel Leaf on the label)?

If so, you will not have an issue crossing it under a box 2A. I generally also print and keep a CarFax in the folder for the unit just incase an inquiry were to come up from U.S. Customs.

120 Waiver

Hello. We overlooked the timing and sent in a conformity 8 days past the 120 days due to waiting on a recall to be performed. DOT put it under investigative hold. I requested an extension apologizing for the 8 day tardiness. Nicole has updated my request to export. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what I can do/ who I can speak with to have them re evaluate this situation? Thank you, Jess
